Bookings/Returns

A 30% deposit is required to secure your booking.  Full balance is payable upon collection of your goods, under no circumstances can the goods leave the premises until full and final payment has been made.

When collecting your suits don’t forget to organise who will be responsible for returning your suits, name and contact details will need to be left upon collection.

Please allow 15-20 minutes for returns to be checked over, it is the hirer’s responsibility to make sure all goods arrive back at the premises together, unless previously agreed.

 

Care of Garments - Customers ARE Required to

Treat the garments with reasonable care

Check your order carefully, ensure it is correct and in good condition

Ensure it all fits, all party members are required to try on their complete outfits, including the shirt, at the very earliest opportunity.

Advise Blades Formal Menswear at the earliest opportunity before the wear date of any query.

 

Payment Terms

Payments can be made in cash, by credit card, over the phone or via internet banking.

Sorry we no longer accept cheques, and we do not accept American Express.

 

Payment & Security Bond

An initial payment (normally 30% of the total hire fee) must be paid to Blades Formal Menswear by the Customer at the time the contract is formed.  All balances due must be paid on (or in advance of) collection.  Goods will not be released until full payment has been made. 

You will be required to leave credit card details upon collection of goods, and will be required to sign a consent form; credit card details are held and not processed except in the event of late returns, unauthorised extended hire, non return or damaged garments.  Replacement costs are available upon request. 

 

Loss AND Damage

The customer is responsible for and will indemnify Blades Formal Menswear against any loss or damage to the goods whilst in the possession of the customer.  In the event that the goods are not returned from hire at all, are lost or are damaged, Blades Formal Menswear will pursue the recovery and return of the goods or any monies outstanding to the full current value of the goods in question.

A fee of £100 will be charged for each top hat which is damaged, however that damage is caused.  Suit covers, shoe boxes and shoe horns are loaned at no extra charge, but are subject to charges if not returned or are returned damaged.

 

Late Returns

Suits must be returned by the date/time agreed upon at collection.

Any late returns will be subject to a courier charge of £15.

Any returns later than the day agreed will be subject to unauthorised extended hire charges.

 

Unauthorised Extended Hire

A 50% hire charge will be applied to any goods returned later than the agreed date and time; this charge is applicable as a weekly charge.

 

Cancellations

Cancellations made three months prior to the date of the event will receive a full refund of monies paid.

Cancellations made two months prior to the date of the event will receive 50% refund of monies paid.

Cancellations made one month prior to the date of the event will receive 25% refund of monies paid.

Cancellations made within one month of the date of the event will receive no refund.

 

Limitation Of Liability

Blades Formal Menswear will use its reasonable endeavours to rectify any errors found, however Blades Formal Menswear will not be liable for any loss suffered by the Customer which could have been avoided, nor will Blades Formal Menswear be liable for any loss of profit or any indirect or consequential loss suffered.

Blades Formal Menswear’s liability in any event is limited to the value of the contract between the Customer and Blades Formal Menswear (the cost of the hire paid by the customer).

 

Data Protection Act 1998

Under the Data Protection Act 1998 we have a legal duty to protect any personal information we collect from you.

We will only use personal information you supply to us for the reason that you provided it for.

We will only hold your information for as long as necessary to fulfil that purpose.

We will not pass your information to any other parties.

All employees and contractors who have access to your personal data or are associated with the handling of that data are obliged to respect your confidentiality.
